Alum Cove Wilderness Center is located northeast of the
towns of Jasper and Sequatchie, Tennessee off of Interstate 24.
From Jasper, take Highway 41 north toward Tracy City.
When 41 turns left, stay to your right and go northeast on Valley View Highway and continue through the town of
Sequatchie.
Dancing Fern Road is the next road on your left
immediately after you cross the bridge over the Little Sequatchie River.
Stay to the right at the fork just off Valley View Highway and again at the
end of the road.
Alum Cove Wilderness Center is situated on
600 acres as shown in this topographical map. Dancing Fern Road enters
the property and ends in the lower left corner of this map. The lines
shown within the dark boundary are hiking trails.
The property is surrounded to the east and
north by majestic bluffs with Dittany Point to the northwest and Jones Point
to the south.
