Some Photos of Alum Cove Wilderness Center

Gregg, center, and Roxanne, to Gregg's right,
with their granddaughter, showing Alum Cove
to Eileen and Buck from the Land Trust for
Tennessee.

There are some large beech trees in Alum Cove like this majestic tree.

Rock hopping down the dry creek bed is a cool thing to do on a hot summer day.

The big one is waiting out there.  All you have to do is get the bait on your hook.

Roasting corn on an open fire and getting ready for the hotdogs.

How's this for a great place for a picnic?

Taking a rest stop among the boulders.

Heading out for a hike on one of the many Alum Cove trails.

There's nothing better than fixing your own S'mores with fire toasted marshmallows.

Alum Cove Wilderness Center has great forage and cover for animals and many miles of hiking trails.

The ridge line of the surrounding bluffs can be seen through the trees.

You are never too young to learn how to pitch your own tent.

This young man is waiting for some animal to come and eat the berries he put out for them. Patience is a virtue when it comes to wildlife.

Kids are never too young to start learning about the out of doors.  Alum Cove Wilderness Center will have fun for all ages.

Waiting for the 4th of July fireworks show.
